Keramica™ advanced micro edge blades offer extraordinary edge retention over stainless and carbon steel blades. If used for cutting vegetables, soft foods etc. the blade will hold its edge for a long time. Ceramic blades are environmentally friendly and chemically stable. Due to its surface, it is practically non stick for most foods. It is a given, that these knives are not made for deboning of any kind of meat, and should never be used to cut, pry, or chop frozen foods. Ceramic blades need the same care as your fine bone china. If you drop the knife, there is a good chance the tip will break off or other damage may occur. If you use the knife as described, it is very unlikely that you ever will have to sharpen it. But should it be necessary to do so, bring it to a qualified knife sharpening service establishment. They will use their powered diamond wheel machine. Please, do not put this knife in the dish waster. The harsh chemicals and heat will dry out and eventually destroy the rubber handle of your knife.
